The project
Mercury Lifts has been appointed to carry out a full lift modernisation at a local golf club, replacing ageing components throughout to bring the lift up to current standards.
What the work involves
The scope covers the landing entrances and car entrance, a complete new electrical system including controller, push buttons, shaft encoder and wiring, and a new car operating panel. The operating panel will include a smart key function, giving staff controlled access to the basement.

Why it matters
Modernising an existing lift rather than full replacement is often the right call when the structure is sound. It extends the working life of the installation, improves reliability, and brings the controls and safety systems in line with current expectations, all without the disruption of a full removal and replacement.
